App starts minimized and refuses to open

Sometimes this app just starts minimized and refuses to open. I see that app opens but cant bring it to front. It just stays minimized no matter what.
To be perfectly precise, I must say, that this it *sometimes* opens OK, but it happens rarely.
Also I dislike this noise effect when browsing photos. It annoys the heck of me. I might be watching my family photos in the dark room, but this noise transition effect is bright and distracting.
Overall, I give 2 stars, because the app being minimized no-matter-what bug crosses out all positive sides (speed, for example).
